Please take a moment to read the Terms of Use carefully and understand them before accessing The Roleplay System within Second Life metaverse.
These Terms outline the guidelines and rules that govern your use of the roleplay system, its features, and associated services. By accessing or using the roleplay system, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms of Use. If you do not want to agree to these Terms of Use, you must not access or use the services offered therein.
1. User Responsibilities and Conduct:
1.1. General Usage: Users are expected to act in a respectful and responsible manner when engaging with the Roleplay System. Any form of harassment, abuse, cheating, hacking, or unauthorized modification of the system is strictly prohibited.
1.2. User-generated Content: Users may create and share content within the Roleplay System, such as character profiles, background stories and stories in general, or artwork. However, users are solely responsible for the content they generate and must ensure that it complies with applicable laws, including the Second Life Terms of Service, and does not infringe upon the rights of others.
1.3. Age Restrictions: The Roleplay System is intended for users who are at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by their jurisdiction. Users below the specified age should obtain parental or legal guardian consent before using the roleplay system.
2. Intellectual Property:
2.1. Ownership: The Roleplay System and all associated content, including but not limited to graphics, text, logos, and software, are the property of the developer(s). Users do not acquire any ownership rights to the system or its content.
2.2. User-generated Content: By submitting user-generated content including graphics, text or video within the System's dedicated channels, users grant the developer(s) a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display the content within the system.
2.3. Trademarks: The Roleplay System may contain trademarks, service marks, or logos owned by the developer(s) or third parties. Users are prohibited from using these trademarks without prior written permission.
3. Virtual Currency and Purchases:
3.1. Linden Dollars: The Roleplay System uses Second Life's Linden Dollars as a medium of exchange for in-game items and services within the metaverse of Second Life.
3.2. In-Game Purchases: Users may purchase virtual items, such as cauldrons, chests, or other in-game assets, using Linden Dollars. All purchases are final.
3.3. Refunds: The developer(s) does not provide refunds for Linden Dollar purchases or any other in-game transactions, except where required by applicable law or at the developer(s)'s sole discretion.
4. System Availability and Updates:
4.1. System Availability: The developer(s) strives to provide uninterrupted access to the Roleplay System. However, occasional maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen circumstances may result in temporary system unavailability.
4.2. Updates: The developer(s) may release updates, patches, or new features in the system HUD to improve the Roleplay System. Users are encouraged to request a redelivery and receive an updated version of the HUD promptly to ensure compatibility and the best user experience.
5. Limitation of Liability:
5.1. Use at Your Own Risk: The Roleplay System is provided on an "as is" basis. While the developer(s) endeavors to ensure the system\'s reliability and security, users acknowledge that they use the system at their own risk.
5.2. IndirectDamages: To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the Roleplay System, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of reputation.
5.3. Third-party Content: The Roleplay System may contain links or references to third-party websites, services, or content. The developer(s) does not endorse or assume any responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or content of these third-party resources.
6. Termination:
6.1. Termination by User: Users may cease using the Roleplay System at any time by simply taking off their Roleplay System HUD.
6.2. Termination by the Developer(s): The developer(s) reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user's access to the Roleplay System if the user violates these Terms or engages in any conduct that may harm the system or its community.
6.3. Effect of Termination: Upon termination, users may lose access to their user-generated content, and the developer(s) may delete or remove such content from the system without prior notice.
7. General Provisions:
7.1. Modifications: The developer(s) reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any substantial changes, and continued use of the Roleplay System after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
7.2. Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and the developer(s) regarding the use of the Roleplay System and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
7.3. Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
7.4. Second Life Terms of Service: Users acknowledge and agree that the use of The Roleplay System is governed by these Terms as well as the Second Life Terms of Service. In case of any conflicts or inconsistencies between these Terms and the Second Life Terms of Service, the provisions of the Second Life Terms of Service shall prevail.
7.5. Report related to violation of Second Life terms of service are to be reported to Linden Lab.
By accessing or using The Roleplay System, users acknowledge their obligation to comply with both the Roleplay System's Terms of Service and the Second Life Terms of Service.
